Zara Larsson has found herself at the centre of an online debate after seemingly making a joke about her rather unconventional workplace rule – and the internet is having very different reactions.
The Swedish singer recently sat down with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang on their Las Culturistas podcast, where she explained that everyone on her team should be able to pull a “goon face” on demand to prove they don’t take themselves too seriously.

“The people I work with, we have this thing,” she shared. “I want everyone around me to be able to do a goon face. To me, it’s like, ‘Are you free? Are you carefree? Are you yourself? Can you be silly?’”She continued: “If I ask someone on the spot to make a goon face, and they’re like, ‘I can’t do this,’ I’m like, ‘You gotta go, you’re fired.’”
When Bowen asked whether the face was part of the job interview, Larsson shrugged and burst out laughing before turning to a member of her team and declaring, “Chris, goon!”
iHeartMediaThe conversation appeared to be tongue-in-cheek, but that hasn’t stopped the clip from sparking a debate online. Some people took issue with the supposed joke, with one person going as far as accusing the singer of “creating a sexually unsafe environment”.
