If you've seen the trailer and all the unique marketing surrounding Timothée Chalamet's new movie, then you know Marty Supreme is finally hitting the masses.

Following a limited run that begins this weekend, the critically acclaimed film gets a wide release Christmas Day. And fans are already reserving their tickets — to put it mildly.

In fact, presales for Marty Supreme are now the fastest in A24 history, according to Deadline, with more than 65 complete sellouts across hundreds of showtimes and over 70% of tickets sold overall. The film will go wide on Christmas on circa 2,500 screens, the outlet also noted on Friday, Dec. 19.

Currently sitting at 94% on Rotten Tomatoes, Marty Supreme premiered at the New York Film Festival and centers on Marty Mauser (Chalamet), a young man with a dream no one respects, who goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness in this fictionalized portrait of a brash shoe saleman-turned-ping pong champion set in postwar NYC, according to the film's synopsis.

As an extension of its overwhelmingly positive critical success, the film recently earned three nominations at the 83rd Golden Globe Awards (including Best Motion Picture, Best Actor and Best Screenplay) with more nominations likely to follow at the upcoming Academy Awards.

Directed by Josh Safdie (who co-helmed the Adam Sandler-led Uncut Gems with his brother Benny Safdie), the film is playing this weekend at:

AMC Grove

AMC Century City

AMC Burbank in LA

AMC Lincoln Square

Regal Union Square

Alamo Brooklyn in New York

Earlier this month, as part of all the promotional efforts that have gone into A24's new offering, Wheaties revealed that that its latest cereal box features an image of Chalamet’s Marty character across the front of its packaging, referencing a line taken directly from the film: “It’s only a matter of time before I’m staring at you from the cover of a Wheaties box.”
