Taylor Swift shared behind-the-scenes footage of herself in the studio the day she recorded "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the Toy Story 5 soundtrack

The song was released on Friday, June 5

Swift previously delivered a surprise performance of "I Knew It, I Knew You" at the film's Los Angeles premiere

Taylor Swift is sharing insight into her recording process.

The Grammy-winning pop superstar, 36, took to social media on Thursday, June 18 and shared behind-the-scenes footage of herself in the studio on the day she recorded "I Knew It, I Knew You" for the Toy Story 5soundtrack.

In a video, Swift described her "hectic day," saying she'd gone to see Toy Story 5 at 11 a.m.

"[I] got so inspired, got the songwriter zoomies, went home, wrote the end credit song for Toy Story 5," she said. "We have now produced it and I'm doing vocals."

The star noted that it was 6:57 p.m. at the time the video was shot, and in two hours, she was anticipating a visit from then-Disney CEO Bob Iger and a Pixar exec, who were coming to hear the song.

"We have not recorded it yet. And I think this is one of the most fun days of my life," she said.

Her Instagram post also included a childhood photo of her dressed as a cowgirl with her brother Austin, plus shots with the film's director Andrew Stanton, screenplay co-writer Kenna Harris and photos of Swift at the film's L.A. premiere.

"TOMORROW WE GET TS5. Oh how I love this phenomenal movie," she captioned the post. "Disney and @pixar's @toystory 5 is in theaters everywhere tomorrow (!!!!!)"

Swift released "I Knew It, I Knew You" on Friday, June 5 and shared a sweet throwback clip of her childhood self dressed as a cowgirl to Instagram.

"Writing this song felt like a musical departure and coming home at the same time. Creating something for Jessie was a new challenge and also felt like second nature all at once," Swift wrote of the track, created with friend and collaborator Jack Antonoff, at the time. "And being a @toystory kid from the age of 5 til now… is an adventure I plan to be on, to infinity and beyond."

On Tuesday, June 9, Swift attended the Los Angeles premiere of Toy Story 5and delivered a surprise performance of "I Knew It, I Knew You" as well as a duet of the animated franchise's classic song "You've Got a Friend in Me" with Randy Newman.

"It means the world to me to be a small part of the universe of these films," Swift told the audience at the premiere.

The "Opalite" singer named Toy Story 5 as her favorite installment in the franchise during the event and praised the film as "insanely beautiful" and "a masterpiece."

Swift also praised the team behind the movie. "If you're in this room and you worked on this film, thank you so much," she said. "Your work is amazing and I hope you're all proud of yourselves."

At the premiere, Swift also gave a shoutout to Joan Cusack, who reprises her role as Jessie in Toy Story 5, for doing "such an extraordinary job" as the character. "It's an honor to write for her."

Toy Story 5 hits theaters on Friday, June 19.
