Target will open six new locations in May, part of the retailer's plan to unveil more than 30 stores by the end of 2026.
The six new stores are located in Arizona, Missouri, New Jersey and North Carolina, all of which open May 17, according to a Target news release. Between the six stores, Target expects to hire around 870 employees.
Five of the new stores are some of Target's largest, topping the retailer's 125,000 square-foot average, the news release continues. The largest of the new locations will open in St. Louis, Missouri, and will be 149,000 square feet. The extra space allows for expanded grocery offerings and a backroom five times larger than older stores.
