Earl Spencer's memoir, Swan Song: Diana My Sister, hit bookstores this week, unveiling many unseen, intimate details about Princess Diana's childhood and life.
The Earl also made several claims in the book that have drawn considerable criticism. Nevertheless, he maintains he has "no regrets" regarding allegations made about King Charles and the Royal Family.
Princess Diana's brother also joined the UK talk show Lorraine to discuss his book. "This book is a celebration of an extraordinary woman from a brother's point of view. And as a brother, I have every right to write about my sister," he said. This comes as the moment Princess Diana decided her marriage to Charles was over was revealed.

While reflecting on growing up with Diana and facing their parents' divorce together, he wrote, "Diana had grown up with a clear objective in mind: to marry for love. She was sure that this was the most important thing, so she could avoid the divorce that had overtaken our parents and devote herself to the children she was always so keen to have."

The Earl added that Diana was "never going to settle into a life of pointless pleasure," adding that she was "always going to push the boundaries in an attempt to make a positive impact on those around her."

The Earl also wrote that he learned from a friend of Diana's that, a day before their wedding, then-Prince Charles told her "that she needed to know that he was very happy to marry her, but he was not actually in love with her."
Unfortunately, Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles finalized their divorce on August 28, 1996, after a separation announced in 1992.
Following their split, Diana openly revealed what went wrong between her and Charles. During an explosive 1995 interview with BBC Panorama, she famously said, "Well, there were three of us in this marriage, so it was a bit crowded."
