Prince William and Kate Middleton have reportedly found the perfect way to stay out of the Royal Family drama. The Prince and Princess of Wales have found themselves at the center of renewed scrutiny in recent months.

It began with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s surprise return to the UK on August 26. It intensified nearly a month later with the release of Charles Spencer’s memoir about his sister, Princess Diana, on September 22. However, it seems like William and Kate have employed a simple strategy to stay out of the drama.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly keeping themselves away from controversies surrounding Prince Harry and Charles Spencer (via The Mirror). According to former BBC royal commentator Jennie Bond, the Royal Family has weathered the storm of allegations and controversies raised by Charles Spencer during his recent book tour.

Bond particularly lavished praise on William and Kate’s strategy of simply maintaining a dignified silence in the media, as they have done over the years. She said, “Equally, I think William and Catherine made the right decision to ignore the noise – and the allegations – and simply get on with their work.”

Bond explained that the Prince and Princess of Wales have done a good job staying away from media drama surrounding both Prince Harry’s 2023 memoir, “Spare,” and Charles Spencer’s Diana book.

The couple have maintained their focus on their children and royal engagements, channeling their focus toward the throne they will inherit in the future. “It’s very effective and I don’t see them getting sucked into the drama now,” she said.

The Mirror’s royal editor, Russell Myers, dished that William is “incredibly saddened” by claims and allegations made against the royal family in his uncle’s book. Myers added that the future king feels “let down” by his uncle.

Previously, Spencer revealed to PEOPLE that he told both his nephews about the memoir, Swan Song: Diana, My Sister. He said, “All I would say is one was… So all four of them [William and Harry and Sarah and Jane], I told them exactly the same time. And I can say that Harry is completely fine about it.” The other two people he is referring to are his sisters, Lady Sarah and Lady Jane.
