Minka Kelly and Dan Reynolds have reportedly split.
The Friday Night Lights star and Imagine Dragons frontman dated for four years.
Kelly recently shared photos of their life together on social media.
Minka Kelly and Dan Reynolds have reportedly called it quits.
The Ransom Canyon actress and Imagine Dragons frontman ended their relationship after four years together, according to Entertainment Weekly’s sister publication, PEOPLE. A source close to the couple said the split “happened recently.”
EW has reached out to Kelly’s and Reynolds’ reps for confirmation.
The pair first started dating in 2022, shortly after Reynolds’ divorce from his wife of 11 years, Aja Volkman, with whom he shares four children. Kelly and the musician were introduced by a mutual friend, and talked on the phone for over a month before they finally met in person, Reynolds told PEOPLE in 2024.
Reynolds would send Kelly demos of his music, while she would send him drafts of her memoir, Tell Me Everything, which was ultimately released in 2023. (The book follows her experience being raised by a single mother who struggled with addiction, before Kelly made it big on Friday Night Lights.)
“She’s like, ‘Well, if you’re going to share your art, I can share something with you, but it’s very vulnerable for me. Do you want to do this or not?’” Reynolds recalled to PEOPLE. “She was very scared for me to read the book because we hadn’t met, just as much as I was scared for her to hear a song that I’d written. But we shared it and then it ended up being a really beautiful thing and brought us a lot closer. I think it helped us both kind of understand each other on a deeper level quite quickly.”

When they finally met face to face, the connection was instantaneous. “I’ve never had that kind of introduction to someone,” Reynolds admitted.
Just this summer, Kelly shared an update on her life with Reynolds, who appeared in her “my morning routine” Instagram video. She also posted an Instagram carousel of photos highlighting their family trip to Disneyland with Reynolds’ children. “No place I’d rather be 💗,” Kelly captioned the post at the time.

“The kids really love Minka and really love their mom, and that’s okay,” the singer told PEOPLE of his coparenting dynamic. “We view it as kind of bonuses to the family: more people to love, more people to help.”

Kelly, who previously dated the likes of Jesse Williams and Derek Jeter, posted a sweet note to Reynolds on his birthday this past July.
“Thank you for making ordinary days feel extraordinary, for making me laugh until I can’t breathe, and for loving so deeply and so freely,” she shared next to photos of the pair. “Celebrating you is one of my favorite things to do. I love you, Dan. Happy birthday ♥️.”
