Mel Robbins shared a throwback photo from a rafting trip with her husband ahead of their 30th anniversary
The couple is currently on a family rafting trip, which Robbins told subscribers was a "bucket list" experience
Mel and Christopher first met at a party more than three decades ago
Mel Robbins is feeling sentimental as she approaches her 30th anniversary with her husband Christopher.
In her latest newsletter, the author and podcast host, 57, shared a throwback photo of her and Christopher from a rafting trip three decades ago. "Before kids, before life got as busy and complicated as it eventually does for all of us," wrote Robbins. "Back then, we had no idea what was ahead."
Robbins revealed she and Christopher are currently on a rafting trip with their family, calling it a "bucket list" experience that "feels like a full-circle moment."
Acknowledging they've weathered challenges like any other longtime couple, Robbins emphasized they've "grown all these years" together.

"This August, Chris and I are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and people ask me all the time, 'Mel, what's the secret to a lasting relationship?'" she continued. "I always laugh and say, 'Marry a Christopher Robbins.'"

Robbins and Christopher, an entrepreneur and partner at Robbins' media production company 143 Studios, first met at a party back in 1994 before saying "I do" two years later.
''We spoke for about 10 minutes and I was so struck by our similarities,'' Robbins previously told The New York Times. ''We were immediately talking about our love for the outdoors. We exchanged phone numbers, and when I got home at 2 a.m., I called him. I left a message on his machine: 'Hi, this is Mel. I met you a half hour ago. Let's go for a run in the morning.' I hung up, and my roommate screamed at me."
After tying the knot, the couple went on to welcome three kids, daughters Sawyer and Kendall, and son Oakley.
"@melrobbins you are a gift to this world but your greatest gift is being the best mother to our three kiddo's. Happy Mother's Day to the GOAT ❤️❤️❤️," Christopher captioned an Instagram tribute in celebration of Mother's Day in 2025.
