From heritage tweeds to mesh metal detailing, Ralph Lauren’s fall 2026 collection show on Feb. 10 celebrated fearless femininity

Ralph Lauren calls his latest collection a tribute to a ā€œrenegade spiritā€ and enduring personal style

At Ralph Lauren’s fall 2026 New York Fashion Week show on Feb. 10, Anne Hathaway set the tone before the first model even hit the runway.

Stepping into downtown Manhattan's Jack Shainman Gallery with her husband Adam Shulman and stylist Erin Walsh, Hathaway was relaxed, glowing and grounded, literally, in cowboy boots.

ā€œI’m wearing cowboy boots, guys, basically in flats,ā€ she told PEOPLE laughing ahead of the show. ā€œAnd this dress is just wonderful and it maybe would have been a little bit too cold, but I have this fabulous wrap and I’m just gonna enjoy my Cinderella moment and give it all back at the end. But right now I get to enjoy it.ā€

Hathaway's glam look felt like an early taste of what fans are going to get from her and Walsh during the Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour this spring.

And her mix of ease and glamour mirrored the mood of Ralph Lauren’s Fall 2026 collection. When the lights dimmed, Gigi Hadid opened the show in a brown tailored tweed set featuring a vest, matching skirt and boots. It was structured, intentional and immediately set the standard.

Ahead of the show, Hadid shared the strong sense of nostalgia that brand holds for her. "I remember growing up and my mom wearing a lot of Ralph and always being drawn to that world even in her closet," she says in a clip posted by the brand on Instagram. "I grew up wanting to model because I loved campaigns and imagery. That's what really took me I think into the Ralph world first, just all those campaigns that now when I think back flood my memory."

Hadid later closed the in a velvet belted gown topped with chainmail bolero, signaling the collection’s bolder streak.

The brand reinforced that idea in its press release, noting that the fall 2026 collection celebrates ā€œa woman who is fearless in her pursuit of adventure, who honors heritage while embracing reinvention and explores what lies ahead by staying true to who she is.ā€

On the runway, that translated into a confident mix: backless gowns with fluid movement, cropped leopard coats layered over tailoring, sharp suiting that nodded to equestrian tradition and moody floral patterns. There was a noticeable ā€œvintageā€ flair, but nothing felt costume-y. Instead, the pieces felt designed to be worn, and re-worn, for years.

Accessories were central to the story. Statement Belts decorated a number of looks. Riding boots grounded the looks. Embroidered velvet slippers added texture. Variations of the iconic Ralph bag appeared throughout, especially the tote and newly introduced mini crossbody, along with a new deco lock clutch that drew attention for its structured elegance.

The crowd was as notable as the clothes. Ariana DeBose arrived ready to make denim feel red carpet-worthy. Morgan Spector and Rebecca Hall brought understated elegance. Lana Del Rey attended with her husband Jeremy Dufrene, adding a dose of rock star cool.

ā€œThis outfit is so Ralph to me with the jeans," DeBose told PEOPLE of her outfit. "This look, it, encapsulates everything that I believe is like a perfect but comfortable and chic moment. It’s slimming, it’s flattering, but it’s also just, it’s, it’s just me.I mean, come on, come on, you can’t tell me nothing about this belt buckle.ā€

The throughline — pride, confidence self-definition — felt aligned with Lauren’s thesis for the season.

Task star Emilia Jones, wearing a leather bustier tube top paired with a Ralph Lauren camel a-lign skirt, spoke to the brand’s generational staying power.

ā€œThe fact that it’s so classy, but it’s also like sexy and edgy and it’s just timeless. My mom passes down bits of Ralph Lauren to me and I always get compliments on it and that she wore when she was like 20 I just think that that’s amazing.ā€

That longevity is central to the brand's appeal. Rich fabrics like tweed and velvet are not passing trends in Lauren’s universe. They’re building blocks. Fall 2026 didn’t reinvent the brand; it sharpened it. For the Ralph girl, personal style lasts longer than any season, and the right pieces only get better with time.

By the time guests filtered out into the New York City night, the takeaway was clear. Ralph Lauren isn’t chasing fashion’s loudest moment. He’s refining his own, with sharper tailoring, stronger accessories and a front row ready to wear it their way.
