Hollywood is mourning the loss of *Days of Our Lives* alum Patrick Muldoon after his sudden death over the weekend. He was 57.

As news of Muldoon's death made its way online, his peers and friends shared their memories of the actor and paid tribute to his legacy on social media.

Muldoon's *Days of Our Lives* castmate Alison Sweeney referred to his death as "heartbreaking" on X. "Pat was a rare kind of person — brilliantly talented, endlessly kind, and generous in spirit," the actress, best known for her role as Samantha "Sami" Brady on the NBC soap, wrote. "I was so lucky to have worked with him when I first started at *Days*, he made me feel at ease right away. He brought his unique charm and humor to work every day. A truly gifted guy, and one who will be profoundly missed."

*Days *and *General Hospital *star Kate Mansi, who was close friends with Muldoon, shared an emotional tribute to the late star on her Instagram Story. "My husband woke me up from London very early this morning when he saw the news so I didn't wake up to it while scrolling. I'm so stuck," Mansi wrote over three slides. "As evidenced by how many people feel this way, Muldoon left an impact on everyone he knew."

"@thepatrickmuldoon had a phrase he'd say when you reached a new portal in your life, he'd say: 'you popped your consciousness!' To the original Cali boy rocker, love you forever," she added. "No one LIVED and LOVED like you."

Muldoon's *Starship Troopers* costar Dina Meyer shared a heartfelt tribute on X as well. "I can't believe he's gone. 💔💔💔 Pat was one of the kindest people I've ever known and was like a brother to me. He was such a light...always making us laugh," she wrote. "My sincere condolences to his family, and everyone who loved him. He will be missed. #RIP #PatrickMuldoon"

Antonio Sabato Jr. posted a tribute on Instagram, writing, "Heartbroken to hear about Patrick Muldoon's passing at just 57. A talented actor and a true friend, he brought so much joy to those of us who had the privilege of working alongside him. His spirit will be deeply missed. RIP my pal brother and just a great guy! 💔 #RIPPATRICK #InMemoriam"

Dean Cain, who worked with Muldoon on *The Dog Who Saved Christmas* film series, wrote a concise farewell message on X: "🙏🏼 RIP, my friend. 💔."

Actress Ashley Scott mourned her "work husband" on Instagram, in a post featuring photos of her and Muldoon in various projects over the years.

"He was genuinely one of the most hilarious, loving men I've ever known," Scott wrote in her caption. "He saw me and helped me through an extremely difficult time, he offered me insight and strength. I can hear his voice right now... I loved him very much."

She finished her tribute by sharing a message to Muldoon's family, writing, "To his beautiful family I'm so very very sorry... I can't imagine how you're all feeling right now. He was a rockstar and a family man such a beautiful being... lost way way way too soon. 🪽🪽🪽🪽🪽 #patrickmuldoon"

Former child actor Jake Getman also paid tribute to Muldoon on Instagram, sharing a photo of them on a red carpet together. "RIP Patrick Muldoon. 🕊️," Getman wrote. "Worked with him when I was 8 on *Little Dead Rotting Hood* -- a great guy and always kept the energy light," he continued, adding "#gonetoosoon."

Muldoon's manager told *Variety* that the *Starship Troopers* and *Melrose Place *star died Sunday. His sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, told TMZ that the star was found unconscious after suffering a heart attack in a bathroom where he was showering inside his Beverly Hills home.
