The NFL named its conference players of the week for Week 4, and one player in the Arizona Cardinals' 36-24 loss to the New York Giants was honored. Giants cornerback Deonte Banks was named Week 4 NFC Defensive Player of the Week.
Banks ended the game with an interception he returned 98 yards for a touchdown as time expired.
It was fourth-and-goal from the three, and a completion in the end zone would have given the Cardinals a chance to win the game with the extra point. He got in front of Michael Wilson and intercepted the pass. That takeaway came just a few plays after he was flagged for pass interference while defending Wilson, setting up the first-and-goal.
Banks finished the game with four tackles and four pass breakups to go with the pick he returned for a touchdown.
It is Banks' first-ever player of the week honors.
Who were the other conference players of the week?
In the NFC, Carolina Panthers receiver Tetairoa McMillan was Offensive Player of the Week after catching 14 passes for 192 yards in Carolina's 32-26 win over the Detroit Lions.

In the AFC, the Offensive Player of the Week was New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye. He passed for 269 yards and three touchdowns in a 29-26 win over the Buffalo Bills, and he threw the game-winning touchdown pass with 1:50 to go in the game.
The AFC Defensive Player of the Week was Jacksonville Jaguars linebacker Foyesade Oluokun. In a 22-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, Oluokun had seven tackles, an interception and a forced fumble.
The AFC Special Teams Player of the Week was Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza after he averaged 47.6 yards per punt in the Chiefs' 30-27 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Five of his punts were downed inside the 20, a single-game record. He also had a 12-yard run for a first down on a fake punt.
