Foreign holdings of US Treasuries rise in April, led by Japan, UK, data shows

NEW YORK, June 18 (Reuters) - Foreign ‌holdings of ‌U.S. Treasuries rose in ​April, data from the Treasury Department showed on ‌Thursday, ⁠led by gains by the ⁠two largest holders of ​government ​dent -- ​Japan and ‌the UK.

Holdings of U.S. Treasuries edged higher to $9.352 trillion in April, ‌up from $9.348 ​trillion ​in ​the previous ‌month. But compared ​with ​a year earlier, Treasuries owned ​by ‌foreigners were up ​4%.
