Eddie Murphy's son Eric and Martin Lawrence's daughter Jasmin are officially parents!
The Coming 2 America star, 65, confirmed that the couple, who first announced they were expecting back in February, welcomed their first baby together, a daughter named Ari Skye. Eddie revealed the news during an interview with E! News at the American Film Institute Achievement Award Ceremony on Saturday, April 18.
“They just had a baby girl,” Murphy told the outlet. “They just had her two weeks ago, or a week ago. Yeah, Ari. Ari Skye.”
When asked whether he or the Bad Boys: Ride or Die actor, 61, gave the newly minted parents any advice about raising kids, Murphy explained that parenting is something that "you don't give advice" about.
“Oh, you don't give advice like that,” he explained. “You know, your kids don't go by your advice. Your kids go by the example you set. They watch you.”
“The stuff you be saying, they don't even pay that s--t no mind,” continued the Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F star. “They watch and see what you do. So, I don't give a lot of advice.”
Eric and Jasmin, who tied the knot last May, first shared that they were expecting their first baby together on Instagram last February. In a black and white photo, Jasmin, 30, could be seen wearing an off-the-shoulder dress, which highlighted her pregnant belly.

Eric, 36, had his head resting on Jasmin's stomach, turning his head to face the camera. The mom-to-be smiled down at her husband in one photo, and was pictured standing by herself outside in a few others.
"Thank you Jesus for the greatest gift ❤️❤️❤️," the couple wrote in their joint caption.

Later that month, they celebrated the upcoming arrival of their baby girl, resharing several posts from their baby shower on their Instagram Stories to commemorate the special occasion. The couple was all smiles as they posed alongside family and friends in the pictures.
In a video, which Jasmin shared on her Instagram Stories following the event, she first revealed the name of their baby girl. "Ari Skye," she said as she gently rubbed her belly. "Mommy loves you so much. This day is all for you.”
"My baby 💗 Ari Sky Murphy 💗," she wrote across the clip.
