Dolly Parton’s estate has claimed that her nephew and former security head installed barbed wire and a “no-trespassing sign” to stop lawsuit documents being delivered to him.
Parton’s company She’s Alive LLC, which is run by Parton’s longtime manager Danny Nozell, is currently suing Seaver for allegedly threatening estate employees in an attempt to extort money.
Seaver, who announced the news of Parton’s death from cancer in August, was later fired from his security role by the estate, which was also granted a restraining order granted against him.
In a new court filing, Parton’s estate claimed that a process server attempted to deliver court documents to Seaver three times but was stopped by a “no-trespassing sign in the front yard and barbed wire draped across the handrails leading to the front door”.

“Mr Seaver attempted to evade service of process, and this court should not reward that behavior,” the filing stated, according to ABC News.
It also alleged that Seaver did not make any attempt to retain legal counsel despite saying that he would and asked the court to deny his request for extending the case.

The Independent has contacted Seaver for comment.
Earlier this month, Seaver – who is the son of one of Parton’s 11 siblings – asked for more time to defend himself and his company, Squadron Augmented Protection Services, against a temporary restraining order granted to Parton’s estate, claiming that he needed to find a lawyer.
He filed a motion in a Tennessee court asking that a hearing on the order be pushed back by 10 days, claiming that “the defendants lack any legal knowledge or skills to proceed in this matter without retained counsel or what, if any, challenges can or should be raised”.

In the lawsuit filed by She’s Alive LLC, Seaver is accused of sending increasingly threatening messages starting just before Parton's death. The employment of him and his company was terminated the week before the petition, with the company stating that his “terrorizing conduct made their continued retention untenable”.
It also claimed that Seaver called himself a “killer” and “literally an international arms dealer and mercenary”, who said: “All I do is warfare.”
In a statement to TMZ last month, Seaver denied the allegation that he was attempted to extort money from the estate and said that other claims were taken out of context.
“I am a career soldier and military contractor and do conduct arms deals for foreign governments,” Seaver told the publication. “I am a security professional and I am a killer.”
He added: “However, nothing in this lawsuit were threats and most of the comments I stand by. I was talking frankly in a private way with Danny who I thought was my friend and he fancies himself a gangster. A lot of these messages are two guys having rage talk and crying on the phone together while we were grieving.”
