Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine of Denmark snuck an unscripted yet adorable moment into their confirmation ceremony that showed off their tight twin bond.

On April 18, King Frederik and Queen Mary's youngest children were confirmed by the royal confessor, Bishop Henrik Wigh-Poulsen, in Fredensborg Castle Church.

Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, both 15, continued a family tradition by celebrating their confirmation at the historic Fredensborg Castle Church, as their grandmother Queen Margrethe, father King Frederik and elder siblings Crown Prince Christian, 20, and Princess Isabella, 18, all had their confirmations there.

A reel shared to Instagram by the Danish Royal Palace recapped highlights from the big day, plus a candid moment between the twins.

The video rolled to show the royals' arrival at the church, the twins' confirmation rites, and an unmistakable fist bump between Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine as they sat side by side at the front of the church.

Vincent and Josephine follow their older siblings in the direct line of succession to the Danish throne, and Vincent — born 26 minutes before his twin — is a spot ahead of Josephine.

King Frederik and Queen Mary's children are all close to each other in age, and the palace's official portraits from the twins' confirmation ceremony included two cute photos of the siblings goofing off.

Like Prince William and Kate Middleton's children, King Frederik and Queen Mary's four kids all have multiple godparents.

The twins' confirmation ceremony fell a week after the Danish Royal House announced the death of Queen Mary's father, Professor John Dalgleish Donaldson, at age 84.

The palace shared the news on April 12 in an update that included a rare personal statement from the Queen, 54, and a black-and-white portrait she took of him when they were last together in late March 2026.

Donaldson died in Tasmania, Australia, where Queen Mary was born and raised, and the palace message said that his health had been declining in recent years.

"My heart is heavy, and my thoughts are grey. My beloved father has passed away. But I know that when the grief settles, the memories will brighten my day, and what will remain strongest is love and gratitude for everything he gave me and taught me," said the heartfelt message from the Queen.

Queen Mary joined a royal duty a few days after the palace announced her father's death and appeared on the steps of Fredensborg Castle for the celebrations commemorating Queen Margrethe's 86th birthday.

Queen Mary wore a navy blue suit for the royal occasion and the dark hue was interpreted as a gesture of respect following her father's death, while still celebrating her mother-in-law's birthday. The Danish Royal House previously said that the family will will hold a private memorial service to honor Donaldson at a later date, which has not been announced.

Queen Mary wore another dark blue outfit to the confirmation of her twin children on Saturday, dressing to respect her father's recent death but skipping the traditional black dress associated with mourning.
