WNBA star Angel Reese continues to show support for the Orlando Magic, especially now that they're in the NBA playoffs. The Magic stunned the No. 1-seeded Detroit Pistons on Sunday in Game 1 of the first round. The team had a 112-101 win to snatch a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
The entire starting five of the Magic worked together to establish a physical brand of basketball. The team had 11 steals and forced 14 turnovers. Not only were they active on defense, but they also made the most on offense.
Paolo Banchero led all scorers with 23 points on 53.3% shooting and was the only player to reach 20 points. The remaining four players, however, all scored more than 15 points.

After the win, Reese joined in on the fun on X.
"play the songggggggggg," Reese posted.
The Magic's viral "Play the Song" trend is in reference to the team's iconic theme song in 1989. The current version is a remixed victory anthem, featuring a remixed, high-energy variety.
Angel Reese's Relationship With Wendell Carter Jr.
Reese has shown support for the Magic because of her boyfriend, Wendell Carter Jr. The couple was linked to each other in May 2025, but they have kept things private. The NBA player seemingly confirmed his relationship with the Atlanta Dream star when he made an appearance on FanDuel TV's "Run It Back" in November.
He was asked about his relationship with Reese, but he dodged the question with this:

“That’s the homie for sure. Y’all gonna find out when y’all need to find out."
However, he took back what he said and called the WNBA star "his girl."
“That’s my girl, though. We locked in for sure,” Carter said.
Amid all that, Carter also answered a hypothetical question about him and Reese. The Magic center was asked who would win in a mixed 2-on-2 if they faced Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo and Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson.
“I’m a competitor,” he said. “I’m not gonna say that they’re gonna win. You know what I mean? Shout out to Bam and A’ja, though. A’ja’s one of the best to do it already. Bam is doing his thing. But you know, I’m always gonna ride with the home team, for sure.”
Fans think Reese and Carter are a couple, even if they don't acknowledge it. In particular, the Dream star has attended games this season and given many clues.
